Steps for becoming a CA

     

  1. Application to be submitted under Rule 8(d) applicable for Government Departments /Agencies as per proforma prescribed for Government Departments on pages 77-78 of the information booklet.

  2. Certification Practice Statement (CPS) to be submitted along with the application as per the CPS framework given in Annexure I of the Guidelines (pages 189-195).

  3. Statements prescribed in paras (xi) - (xvii) of the Guidelines (pages 187-188) have to be submitted along with the application.

  4. Physical Infrastructure for housing the CA system for signing the certificates and for hosting the Directory, to be fully secured in a strongroom conforming with Terms & Conditions of licence contained in Regulation 3 (pages 164-167).

  5. Standards to be followed by the CA as detailed in Regulation 4 (pages 167 - 183).

  6. Date, when the applicant will be ready for the audit to commence. The audit will be conducted by an Auditor to be nominated by the CCA.

  7. Date by which CA operations are proposed to be started has to be communicated to the CCA.
